Food and Beverage The studio lounge is available for the studio client’s convenience at no additional charge. The lounge has a microwave, refrigerator and entertainment center. Clients may take a break for meals or may order food to be delivered, which must be paid for by client at time of delivery. During long sessions clients my wish to take a meal break and may do so off the clock. This allows the engineer to work on other projects in the studio or take a break. If clients wish to work through the meal break to listen to the session, do edits, overdubs, etc., session time continues to be charged. The engineer may choose to eat and work at the same time. Food and drink may be brought into the studio but must be kept away from equipment racks. Food and drink is not permitted in the control room.
No Smoking If clients choose to smoke, please use the receptacle provided for this purpose
outdoors.
Please do not consume drugs or alcohol on MasterTrax Recording Studio premises.
Equipment Rental If there is equipment that clients need that MasterTrax Recording Studio does not have available, clients may bring it to the session or request MasterTrax Recording Studio to rent it at prevailing rates. Any equipment damaged or broken by clients will be repaired or replaced at cost and billed accordingly.
Restricted Recordings As a professional recording studio MasterTrax Recording Studio respects the intellectual property rights of all artists. MasterTrax Recording Studio reserves the right to cancel any clients session, and return clients deposit if we believe clients are infringing on the copyrighted material of others. Mechanical licenses are required prior to duplication. At the client’s request MasterTrax Recording Studio will explain how to obtain mechanical licenses from the appropriate sources.
Graphic Design and Duplication MasterTrax Recording Studio offers a full range of CD and audiocassette packages with or without full graphic design. When the client's session is finished and has final sequenced masters, then the manufacturing process begins. Manufacturing requires a 50% deposit with the balance due upon completion. Quantities are +/- 10%.
Firearms MasterTrax
Recording Studio microphones do not like guns so please leave firearms at home.
Hold Harmless Clients assume all risks associated
with storing, on or off the premises of MasterTrax Recording Studio, or MasterTrax Recording Studio, use of, any and all sound recordings,
video recordings, digital data in any storage format including but not limited to audio, video, SMPTE, midi, or other file types,
or equipment of any kind or nature and shall hold " MasterTrax Recording Studio" harmless from any and all damage that might occur
to said articles for any reason. In any event, "MasterTrax Recording Studio" liability shall be limited to the replacement cost of
an unrecorded media of comparable value. "MasterTrax Recording Studio" liability with respect to "downtime" of any and all studio
sessions as a result from equipment malfunction or availability, personnel, hired musicians, acts of nature or public utility companies,
etc., shall be limited solely to the studio time of such booked session; and client(s) agree to hold " MasterTrax Recording Studio"
harmless from any and all damages from such "downtime". Damages to studio property of any kind that are a result of anyone in Client's
party or group will be assessed to Client's account. Costs will be assessed for damage or breakage to headphones.
"MasterTrax Recording Studio" makes no warranties either expressed or implied other than those contained herein. "MasterTrax Recording Studio" shall not be liable for unforeseen or consequential damages of any kind. Should "MasterTrax Recording Studio" be unable to conduct a booked session for any reason, then "MasterTrax Recording Studio" warrants that it shall re-book such canceled booking at another time that is mutually available to "MasterTrax Recording Studio" and the client.
Receipt of recording media from Studio to Client is acknowledgement between both parties that the quality of all services rendered by MasterTrax Recording Studio is satisfactory to Client and shall release Studio from any and all liability regarding said recording media and services rendered. Rates, policies, and equipment may change without displayed, written or verbal notice.
The Client responsible for paying for studio time must sign this agreement and will be held responsible for the actions of all artists and guests he or she brings to any session. The client must show a legal ID with proof of age. If Client is under 18 years of age, then Client's parent or legal guardian must read and sign this agreement and provide a legal ID, as well as additional proof of guardianship if last names are different, and will be held responsible for all actions and debts of Client.
Please take a moment to become familiar with the studio polices. A clear understanding of the policies will reduce confusion later.
Booking To reserve time at MasterTrax Recording Studio, a deposit is required. Such deposit shall be equal to 50% of the cost of the total time booked. If it becomes necessary to cancel a session, and if notice is given a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled session, the deposit can be used towards rescheduling a new session. No shows and cancellations within the 24 hour time frame will result in a loss of the deposit.
Rates Client agrees to the hourly rate specified on the rates page or quoted by MasterTrax Recording Studio. Sessions are billed as a minimum of one hour and then in 15 minute increments thereafter. Hourly charges do not include the cost of any media (CD's, tapes, hard drives, etc.). MasterTrax Recording Studio has a standard hourly rate, or clients may block 10 hour increments at MasterTrax Recording Studio’s block rate. Clients must use a minimum of 3 hours per session when using block time. Studio time is prorated in 15 minute intervals with a minimum of 1 hour to be charged. MasterTrax Recording Studio’s rates include one engineer.
Material Purchase Hard drives and DVD masters may be purchased and will become the client’s personal property.
Starting Time Clients have 30 minutes to set up and tune instruments before time of session starts. When a session is scheduled, clients are expected to arrive on time. It should be understood that clients will be billed from the beginning of the client’s scheduled time regardless of arrival time. Studio time is billed in 1/4-hour increments.
Ending Time MasterTrax Recording Studio often schedules recording time in succession. If the client should require additional time for the booked session, MasterTrax Recording Studio will try to accommodate the clients needs. If time does not permit, MasterTrax Recording Studio asks the client to schedule another session. It is always a good idea to approximate the amount of time that will be needed for the project and schedule accordingly.
